I'm waiting to see the Hamilton film on Disney until I really need a treat. In the meantime, I'm enjoying all the new content that's available on YouTube. None of it has decent captions.
Hamilton Principal Cast on Its Relevance in 2020
Lin-Manuel Miranda: not a word has changed but the world has changed
Renee Elise Goldsberry: It's the voice of a revolution and the revolution continues
and more from Leslie Odom, Phillipa Soo, Daveed Diggs

Fanvid to the Hamilton Polka
Al Yankovic recuts the movie to fit his parody "The Hamilton Polka" -- only the happier parts, it's a very silly vid.

Behind the scenes 1: Lighting
from the New Yorker, "Behind the Scenes with Patrick Rizzo, a 'Hamilton' Stagehand - Who Told Stories with Lights"

Behind the scenes 2: Tiny hidden microphones
Fascinating facts: each and every mic has a duplicate mic on the same wire--so if a mic dies in the middle of the show, they can switch the standby mic signal into the PA.
The understudy/swing actors need a custom mic for each role they could play (because different costumes require different camouflaging) -- one actor has 14 mics!
Adam Savage gets all the details from Adrianna Bannon, audio engineer for the SF tour.

The Hamilton Cast Answers Twitter Questions
WIRED orchestrated this most-Hamilton of all social media interactions. They scoured the web for questions. Then all the principal cast members answer on a epic Zoom call with silly stories. You can see some of the real-time responses

I should have figured out that the massive Tweeting situation was a marketing move:

After seeing the show, my biggest question is HOW DOES THE HAMILTON CAST HAVE TIME TO SNAP/TWEET/MAKE VIDEOS DURING THE SHOW??? #superpowers

The way we made it not exclusive was to use social media to share as much of the show as we possibly could with as many people as possible.

Date: 2020-07-09 03:26 pm (UTC)I had the same problem when I logged out of YouTube. Do you have a YT account?
YT is complicated, so it might be any number of other issues. I tried searching for the exact title while logged out, and it didn’t show me the video in the top 25. Perhaps IGN, who hosted the interview, has decided to make the video hard to find?
This link just worked for me when I was signed in:
