I mean... uncritically as I love Hamilton, I could see critiques of it. But calling the second act a "conventional love story"???? Is he in some alternate universe?

Also: not much feeling for his female characters?? Angelica would like to have a word.

Right!?!? I love everything about this. That it was suggested by a twitter user who has never seen the show, that LMM recognized it as a good idea, that all the actors were up for it and having a ball, including Renée as emcee *and* a gender-flipped Burr (and Daveed and OakSmash doing the walkby!)

And then someone edited all the different angles together! <3 <3 <3

I love this angle on the 10/10 Singalong of Guns & Ships because you can see how adorably enthusiastic Daveed is:

The next one is great but also sad. I think this was the first Ham4Ham performance I was aware of.

August 2015 features Kyle Jean-Baptiste, who had recently made history by being the first African-American and also the youngest actor to perform Valjean on Broadway. He and Lin-Manuel sing Confrontation (Lin is Javert).

Two weeks after this was filmed, and 2 days after finishing his run with Les Misérables, Kyle died in a tragic accidental fall.

The entire cast of Les Mis "auditioned" for Hamilton as a way to welcome them to Broadway (and to 46th St). Kyle appears at the end of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fe8iDLHcs60
